International Committee of the Red Cross(ICRC)

The ICRC, established in 1863, works worldwide to provide humanitarian help for people affected by conflict and armed violence and to promote the laws that protect victims of war. An independent and neutral organization, its mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, it employs some 12,000 people in 80 countries; it is financed mainly by voluntary donations from governments and from national Red Cross and Red Crescent societies

World Health Organization (WHO)

WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends. In the 21st century, health is a shared responsibility, involving equitable access to essential care and collective defence against transnational threats.

International Society of Prosthetics & Orthotics(ISPO)

ISPO is a global multidisciplinary organization aiming to improve the quality of life for persons who may benefit from prosthetic, orthotic, mobility and assistive devices. Its members are prosthetists and orthotists, prosthetic and orthotic (P&O) technicians, orthopedic surgeons, rehabilitation doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, orthopedic shoemakers, nurses and biomechanical/rehabilitation engineers.

CR Equipement

Founded in 1987 in Tannay, near Geneva, Switzerland, C.R. Equipements has been working since 1992 for the ICRC and other humanitarian organizations. This small company employs more than twenty people in its plant of Coppet, a village, situated on the northern shore of Lake Geneva. It exports its products to more than 70 Non Governmental Organizations, specialized in orthopaedic activities, located in some 25 countries, mostly in Africa, S-E. Asia and Latin America.
